Meeting of Vibo Valentia on TO PUT Calabria 2007-2013
On Tuesday on February 26 close to the hotel 501 have opened the works of the meeting on the new programming of the European structural funds destined to the Region Calabria for the period 2007 - 2013. The Operative Plan of the Region Calabria has been in the centre of the debate promoted by the Representation in Italy of the European Commission, European Nets Direct Regionali and of the Region Calabria. Objective of the meeting, in which they have participated between other experts of the Commission European and represented Regional and local institutions, has been that of divulging the phases of the new programming for the development foreseen at Putting Calabria into next 7 years, so like the programs of Cooperation Transfrontaliera.
It is to be told you that the meeting has not had the pretension of talking about all the timeliness that our Region will have in next years, but certainly there has been noticed a trend to improve the procedures of emanation of the bans, controls and naturally disbursement of the resources. Objective of the managers of the Region will be of shortening the times and making them someone.
In opening the greetings of Pier Virgilio Dastoli, Director of the Representation in Italy of the Commission Europe and representatives of the European Aerials Direct of the Calabria. They have taken part the assessor in the National Programming and Community Region Calabria Honourable Mario Maiolo who has highlit the strong engagement that the region is putting on the European Bottoms and on the necessity of greater controls in the financing. There interesting, between others, the intervention of the undersecretary in the Presidency of the Regional junta Vincenzo Falcone, who has highlit the fact what as well as to Put for the Region Calabria the PON and the POIN exist as well as other tools, then he hoped that the Local Companies and the entrepreneurs point to the crossed utilisation of several tools.
Has been besides the intervention of the Calabrian Europarliamentarian a deputy Arnaldo Veneto that has insisted on the European Direct Bottoms and on his availability and of his staff to support politically valid projects and of positive relapse on the territory, remarking the fact that contrary to the euromembers of parliament of other European countries our representatives are seen by us like institutions in extinction road, when in fact huge is the importance and the list that these cover for our country.
Between the speakers Alexander Raimondi of the General Direction of the Regional Politics of the European Commission intervened on the new guide lines of the politics of cohesion in line with the objectives of Lisbon.
To finish the intervention of Salvatore Orlando, Director of the Department for the national and Community Programming of the Region Calabria that he has presented to great lines, he endorses the time meagreness, PUTTING Calabria 2007-2013 approved in December with the European Commission.
I want a reflexion to do saying that by now we are going on the last train to be able to raise again the destinies of this one our Region, but I hope, endorse the insistent reference in the meeting, that this one is not put only on the famous conferred 100 recently assumed by the Region Calabria. It is necessary the sleeves to be tucked, but above all it is necessary of financing really valid projects and economically autosustainable as soon as the regional contribution was finished, otherwise 2013 it is really near and we risk what if they do not change the things the Calabria will reach in 2013 with scarce results. It has been indicated briefly to the timeliness or less to use the bottom lost in the bans. I say mine referring to what I have said a short time ago and precisely that if valid projects are financed the lost bottom can represent moreover a lever in order that (serious) investors attract also a way to hinder little competitiveness of our companies owed principally to the want of infrastructures of our Region. Of course, this is only a little help waiting till also the Calabria becomes an European region from this point of view.
