Also this year the Report Osservasalute (presented yesterday to Rome) has done the point again on the health of the Italians. For years by now the useful analysis published by the National Observatory on the Health in the Italian Regions that has seat close to the Catholic University of Rome, offers to us a general picture (but not for this summary) of the state of health of the population and of the quality of the sanitary assistance in the Regions of Italy. The Report is a fruit of the work of 287 experts of public health, clinical, demografi, epidemiologi, mathematic, statistical and economists distributed on the whole Italian territory, who operate close to University and numerous national, regional and company public institutions (Ministry of Public Health, National Statistical Institute, Superior Institute of Soundness, National Advice of the Researches, National Institute Tumour, Italian Institute of Social Medicine, Italian Agency of the Medicine, Hospital Companies and Sanitary Companies, Regional Epidemiological Observatories, Regional and Provincial Agencies of Public health, Regional and Provincial Assessorships to the Health).
The Italian soundness seems more and more fragmented, also at economic level. On the whole the Ssn shows a total structural deficit equal to 43 Euro to person, or almost 2,5 milliard total Euro, not justly distributed. Virtuous regions can be in fact to the North and in the South, which the sleeves are tucked to themselves to recover the deficit, like the Autonomous Province of Bolzano and the Molise, and those, which Lazio and Sicily, which deserve the black stitch, where the increases of the deficit between 2003 and 2006 they have been respectively of 159 and 141 Euro.
And it is not completely, another datum that photographs the divided Italy is that on the regional deficits: the SSN shows still a total structural deficit (equal to 43 € for person, or almost 2,5 milliards of € total and with an increase between 2003 and 2006), not justly distributed, regions of the South.
The mockery arrives really to Calabria that ends up in remainder, but when this remainder was comparing the datum with the expense per head, as it happens also for the Basilicata and in part for the Marks, is probably an index of “sottospesa“, to disadvantage of the citizens.
